38 Philbeach Gardens is a ‘Domestic Revival’ style terraced house with 3,613 square feet of living accommodation and is positioned within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. While not listed itself, it falls within the Philbeach Conservation Area. It was built in the late 19th century as part of a comprehensive terraced development set in a crescent off Warwick Road, next to the former site of Earls Court Exhibition Centre.
Since its construction, the front elevation and rear elevation of the building has remained un-touched, unlike many of the other terraced properties on the crescent. Internally, the building has been reconfigured to provide a mixture of 11 studio units and bedsits.
Our plans are to create 13 modern studio units that will significantly improve the living conditions by increasing the overall area to as many units as possible. In addition to extension proposals, we will refurbish and upgrade the property, changing UPVC windows to more appropriate timber versions.
