137-143 Notting Hill Gate

137-143 Notting Hill Gate is a mixed use block a short walk from the tube and within the Kensington Conservation Area. The building was built in 1883 and is arranged over basement, ground, and three upper floors. The residential and office elements on the upper floors are accessed separately through their respective entrances from number 137 and 143. The development included extensions to the rear of the building on the first and second floor, reconfiguring the residential units to provide for seven flats, and enhancing the character and appearance of the building. The extensions amount to over 2,500 of additional square feet to the building which includes a large mezzanine level extension that provides additional office space and a two storey extension to the rear of 137.
